CUT TO T

FEBRURARY 2017

In the midst of the harmful impacts of the 2017 US Presidential administration and a rising fear of losing access to Testosterone, Laramie asks those to witness this experience through the cold and sterile lens of admin, medical, and legal documentations. An agonizingly long and emotionally dense process reduced down to a physical timeline of only a handful sheets of paper, the only barrier between her, gender affirming care, and sustaining “legal” life as a trans individual. A performance that culminates in preparing to do her weekly Testosterone, but is taken out of her hands and administrated by another.

This is not only an exploration of the impacts of being dependent on violent institutions for necessary gender affirming care and legal survival, but the impending unknown of her future rights and access to care as a trans individual in America.
